Autonomous emergency braking - First on road experiments



The test vehicle of ABRAM is  ready for the experiments on autonomous braking events.

If you want to take part to the experimental activity, simply fill in the contact form in this blog and you will receive further documentation including an explanatory form and a consent form.

If eligible, you will have the opportunity to be recruited as a participant in this pilot study of the ABRAM project held at Bosch in Clayton, VIC - Australia.

There is insufficient detail to determine if the researcher is also using a KTM 1290 or equivalent(which have a full ESC for motorcycles fitted allowing dynamic direction changes in slippery conditions) as the degree of trust and likely rider responses will vary substantially with that confounding factor. Trust in dynamic avoidance (swift counter steering or not) will almost always beat direct braking in collision avoidance, so the reactions of riders used to advanced electronic packages n bikes will differ. A very valuable differentiation control factor that would add significant value to Dr Giovannis work. Having read his publications that are currently in the refereed literature, t is a pity that there is no Form to offer to participate in this study visible on his Blogsite. I wish him well.
